In 2009 the newly founded Field Shield, LLC acquired its 1st patent based upon the work of its Founder and CEO Dan Friedman. The concepts involved were part of an ongoing effort to provide indoor/outdoor operation of an adaptable roof for broad array of facility shapes and sizes at a substantial cost savings with out sacrificing structural integrity.
The adaptable features of the roof system designs, additional patent(s) and patents pending, are intended to meet a wide range of customer needs and site environments. System design/fabrication/installation is performed with associated specialty companies.
Daniel B. Friedman - Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Dan is an electrical engineer (B.S. - New Jersey Institute of Technology, M.S. - Syracuse University) retiring in 1993 from General Electric Company after serving 35 years in equipment design, system design, and program management. Since that time, in addition to pursuit of new ideas, he has been a professional tutor in mathematics, physics, and engineering science/technology at Onondaga Community College, Syracuse, NY.
Jeffrey A. Friedman, CPA- Chief Operating Officer
Jeff is a NYS Certified Public Accountant (BA SUNY Buffalo) and has been financial controller for several domestic and international corporations in diverse industries including: natural products, online-content / software development, and environmental engineering / architecture. In his current principal endeavor he is responsible for accounting, banking, insurance, human resources, facilities and administration.
Steven D. Williams - Vice President of Marketing
Steve has over 15 years experience as director of marketing in a variety of businesses including :financial products, television production, and educational media. His areas of concentration are: company branding and identity, website administration, and advertising research and development, along with social networking and visual media implementation.
W. Calvin Bowne, AIA FCSI - Systems Architect
Cal is a University of Michigan graduate and has practiced Architecture in Syracuse NY since 1954. He retired as managing partner from Hueber Hares Glavin a firm of Architects, Landscape Architects and Engineers in 1997. Since then he has provided consulting services as Bowne Associates - Architects on small projects, to other professional firms, and to several professional organizations. His efforts with the Construction Specifications Institute which led to fellowship status in CSI. He brings planning, organizational, management and creative skills to the team.
